Took out a couple of friends on the upper lake last evening. Boated to the dam about 6 p.m. and fished till dark. Three units and 5 spill gates at Table Rock dam, 10,000 cfs release. I read 75 degrees on the south side and 58 on the worth. Most of the water down from Trophy Run is about 60 degrees.
Word is they are keeping the gates open at least through the week, may be into the weekend. We are seeing shad in the lake all the way down to the Branson Landing and trout spitting up shad that far down. This is UNPRECEDENTED in the years I've been here - for this many shad to enter the lake from the spill gates.
We've created a new family Youtube Channel just for our family videos. I've already uploaded a bunch of old and new videos of the kids and grandkids. As I find new video files on my computer, I'll add them to the channel for all to see so please subscribe and keep up with the Lilleys!
When did God provide what the Israelites needed in the desert, food and water?
Ex. 15:22-25 Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water. 23 When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah.[a]) 24 So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What are we to drink?” 25 Then Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink.
Jesus died a horrible death. He, God, became sin for us and died, sacrificing Himself in our place. Salvation is a free gift but it does come with a price. Your life will never be the same if you sincerely ask forgiveness for a sinful life, accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and dedicate your life to Him.
If you fish (for fish)--if you fish for warm water species of fish like bass, crappie, white bass, stripers--you understand the phrase, "spring fever" has more to do with warming waters and fish waking up from a long winter nap than just the weather turning warm. It means some of the best fishing of the year is almost here!
2 Peter 1:2- Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
Low rainfall affects so many aspects of our lives from farming to fishing. Here on Taneycomo, as a tailwater, water moves and flows less during these times, which in return affects our food base and trout growth. During low-flow periods, freshwater shrimp don't do as well, and, thus, our trout don't grow as fast as they would if the water were running. We're hope we are on the tail end of a long drought and will see lake-filling rains this spring.
